FOUR people accused of attacking a couple outside their home in South Tyneside will have their cases heard at crown court.
Shona Devine, 22, Toni-Leigh Devine, 25, Jamie Fenwick, 26, and Joel Harmer, 24, are said to have attacked a woman who lives in Auckland Avenue, Jarrow, in the early hours of March 29, after she confronted one of the group about making noise outside.
Harmer allegedly threw garden furniture at the house when the woman’s husband came to see what was going on.
Shona Devine, of Stirling Avenue, Jarrow, Toni-Leigh Devine, of Auckland Terrace, Jarrow, Fenwick, of Haggerston Terrace, Jarrow, and Harmer, of Whiteleas Way, South Shields, were all at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
They all faced charges of affray and wounding inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Harmer was also charged with causing criminal damage. None entered pleas and magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and asked for it to be heard at Newcastle Crown Court.
They will appear at Newcastle on October 1.
All four defendants were granted unconditional bail until then.
