A MAN accused of the murder of a South Tyneside woman in their home has been remanded in custody.
Daniel William Johnson, 32, appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court today, charged with killing Gemma Finnigan.
The 24–year–old’s body was found in a flat in Church View, Boldon Colliery, on Friday.
Results of a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of her death are awaited by police.
Johnson, who spoke only to confirm his name, will appear before Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday.
