Jarrow pervert jailed over 7,000 child abuse pictures

OUTLAWED IMAGES ... Idrid McKie allowed other perverts to view his collection.

OUTLAWED IMAGES ... Idrid McKie allowed other perverts to view his collection.

A JARROW man who gave fellow perverts a special password to view sick images of children being abused was today put behind bars.

Idris McKie had a vile catalogue of more than 7,000 images and movies - some of which categorised by the courts as the most serious of their type.

The 59-year-old deviant gave out a password to chatroom perverts which allowed them to browse his outlawed collection.

McKie, of Hylton Road, Jarrow, was today jailed for three years when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court.

He had previously pleaded guilty to 10 charges of making indecent photographs of a child, three of possessing such images and one distribution charge.

The charges relate to 6,976 pictures and 391 movies found on his computers.
