A MAN was arrested after police found cannabis in his home.
Carl Russell, 32, pleaded guilty to possessing the Class B drug at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.
Paul Anderson, prosecuting, said: “Police went to his house to speak to him about a different matter on July 24.
“Inside they found a small amount of cannabis, worth about £10. He told them it was his, for his own use.”
Magistrates gave Russell, of Bamburgh Avenue, South Shields, a six-month conditional discharge with a £15 victim surcharge.
