A MAN was taken to hospital after a ‘hit-and-run’ incident in South Shields.
The 35-year-old was hit by a taxi in Green Lane at about 8pm on Saturday, December 8.
The taxi failed to stop, and left the scene, while the man was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
The taxi is described as a white people carrier-sized vehicle and was travelling towards Boldon Lane at the time of the collision.
Police are investigating and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
