POLICE today made a fresh appeal for witnesses to the death of a man who plunged from cliffs after fleeing custody.
Karl Carson died at Marsden cliffs in South Shields the early hours of Sunday, July 6.

The dad-of-two had been put into a police vehicle, but escaped and ran off.
A search for Mr Carson led to his body being found at the foot of the cliffs.
Police revealed today that during the incident, at about 12.40am, a passing car stopped and two men offered to help officers.
They are appealing for the two men to come forward, as it is believed they may have information which could help with the investigation.
