Men in van wanted over Jarrow shed raid

A BOILER and plumbing fittings have been stolen in a shed burglary in South Tyneside.

The break-in happened between 10.30am and 10.40am, on Friday, in Holly Street, Jarrow.

A van pulled up outside and a man wearing a white hoodie got on top of it before climbing over a wall into the garden.

A boiler, brass fittings and pipe offcuts were stolen from a shed in the garden before the vehicle made off.

It was a Ford Transit tipper or similar vehicle with a grey bumper for which officers have a partial number plate - Y**8 JXD.

Anyone who witnessed the burglary or knows the whereabouts of the vehicle are asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
