A PENSIONER was caught with a huge stash of hundreds of sick animal porn films in his North-East home.
Alister Mollison, of Elliott Terrace, Washington, owned more than 600 movies, which featured men and women carrying out depraved sex acts with dogs, cats, horses and even eels.
Ponies, pigs and donkeys also featured in the explicit material.
Mollison, 67, was made the subject of 12-month community order on him, with supervision, and also ordered to pay £85 costs when he appeared before magistrates in Sunderland.
Rachael Dodsworth, prosecuting, said specialist hi-tech crime officers raided Mollison’s former home in Collingwood Court, Sulgrave, Washington, on March 8.
“There they found a huge quantity of DVDs, video cassettes and recording equipment.
“There were 1,468 movies. Of those, 661 depicted extreme pornography.
“They were in the form of adult bestiality involving dogs, horses, ponies, cats, goats, eels, donkeys and fish.
“He apologised and said he would be happy to forfeit the material,” added Ms Dodsworth.
Mollison had pleaded guilty to possession of extreme pornography at an earlier hearing.
Gerry Armstrong, defending, told magistrates Mollison had lived alone for some years since the breakdown of his marriage.
He added that he also had problems with depression and alcohol.
“Mr Mollison is a solitary person, a man who has worked hard all of his life in the chemical industry. He has few or no hobbies.
“It would appear that these items he has probably had in his possession for 15 years at least.
“There is no suggestion that he has downloaded them from internet sites or shown them to anyone else.
“This is a man more to be pitied than punished.
“What we have is a man who has nobody to turn to.”
