Pair due in court over Hebburn street attack

A MAN and a teenage boy were due to appear in court today after a street attack in South Tyneside.

A 21-year-old man required hospital treatment after being assaulted in Frobisher Street, Hebburn, at 11.38am on Saturday.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Shaun Holland, 36, of Red House Road, Hebburn, and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with wounding with intent to commit GBH, and were due to appear at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court today.

Police are asking anyone who was in Frobisher Street at the time of the incident to contact them on 101, ext 69191, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
