Pair stole ink cartridges worth £200

THIEVES have escaped with hundreds of pounds of ink cartridges from a town centre store.

Police are appealing for help after being called to the Wilkinson store, in South Shields Market Place.

A man and a woman are reported to have stolen a number of ink cartridges from the store worth more than £200.

The theft happened around 3pm on Sunday, February 23.

Neighbourhood Inspector Peter Sutton said: “We would encourage anyone who sees anyone acting suspiciously in stores to alert a member of staff.”
