TRIBUTES ... flowers have been laid outside the house in Wallsend where Ryan Armstrong was stabbed to death.

A MAN accused of stabbing partygoer Ryan Armstrong to death appeared in court this morning.

Liam Kennedy, 21, was led into the dock at North Tyneside Court, where he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth, during the brief hearing.

Mr Armstrong, 25, was found injured in Burn Closes Crescent, Wallsend, shortly before 2am on Saturday, and later pronounced dead in hospital.

Police are still investigating Mr Armstrong’s death. It’s believed he had been at a house party when a fight broke out.

Kennedy, of Martin Road, Wallsend, who is charged with murder, was told his case will be heard by a judge at Newcastle Crown Court.

David Thompson, prosecuting, successfully applied for him to be remanded in custody.
