Police officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man "touched himself" on bus in East Boldon

Police are appealing for information after an incident on a bus in East Boldon.

Between 3.05pm and 3.20pm on Friday, February 26, a woman reported seeing a man who appeared to be touching himself inappropriately on the number 30 bus.

Officers would like to speak to the man about the incident and are asking anyone who was on the bus or has information about his identity to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to speak to a man who is described as being in his early 20s and having short brown hair who was wearing black trousers and dark grey hoody with orange writing on the left arm.

He had a ‘No Fear’ rucksack with him, the rucksack was black with green writing.

It’s believed he was on the bus at the time and may be able to help police with their enquiries.

The man, or anyone who knows who he is is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference OIC2611.
