Police have launched an appeal for information to help track down a pet owner after a bag of dog faeces was pushed through the letter-box of a North East home.

The foul delivery, accompanied by an offensive note, was posted to a property in Gosforth High Street, Newcastle.

Officers investigating the incident have now released a picture of a female dog walker they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The incident took place at about 10pm on Wednesday, August 3.

The woman captured on CCTV was out walking her dog at the time and police are eager to identify her and say she may have information that will aid their investigation.
