A MAN accused of making threatening phone calls to a woman will stand trial.
Lee Wilson was at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court facing two charges of sending a letter or communication conveying a threatening message.
The 34-year-old allegedly made two phone calls on January 24 to the woman.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges in February, and was due to stand trial this week.
However, the trial could not go ahead because the prosecution and defence solicitors needed more information.
A new trial date was set for December 17.
Wilson, of Peel Gardens, South Shields, was granted bail until then.
