A WOMAN who stole cat food from a South Tyneside supermarket and was found in possession of drugs is set to be sentenced next month.
Dawn Potts admitted stealing cat food worth £36.23 from Morrisons in Jarrow when she appeared before South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The 43-year-old also entered a guilty plea to a charge of possessing amphetamines – a Class B drug – at the hearing.
Both offences took place on Tuesday, May 6.
The matter was adjourned until August 7.
Potts, of Cannon Grove, Jarrow, was given bail until that date, with the conditions she resides at her home address, does not communicate with witnesses and does not enter the Morrisons store in Jarrow.
