Houses and vehicles were left damaged following a disturbance in a South Tyneside street.
At around 11.15pm last night officers received a report of an altercation in Belloc Avenue involving a number of men.

They attended the area and found that a number of houses and vehicles in the area had been damaged during the disturbance.
Following police enquiries three men were arrested on offences including affray and assault. They remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Paul Stewart, of Southern Area Command, said: “Extra patrols have been in the area today and will remain there over the coming days to carry out enquiries into this incident.
“There was a lot of activity in the area last night and I want to reassure anyone living in the area that this was very much an isolated incident.
“Our officers will be happy to speak to anyone who has any concerns.
“Anyone who was in the area last night and saw the disturbance should contact police as you may be able to help with our enquiries.
“We are particularly interested in anyone who saw a red vehicle, possibly a Mazda, in the area around the time of the incident.
“Two men were believed to be in that vehicle and we are really keen to speak to them.”
