THREE people facing charges of handling stolen goods have appeared in court.

Gemma Campbell, 29 of Ingham Grange in South Shields, entered no plea to a charge of handling stolen goods – jewellery, a wallet containing cards and baby socks – valued at £3,000, between November 8 and November 29 of last year.

Nicola Allan, 28 of Frederick Street in South Shields, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen goods – Nina Ricci perfume, a TDR ruscksack, an HTC phone and Apple Ipod of an unknown value – between November 8 and November 20 of last year.

Errol Johnson, 41, also of Frederick Street, pleaded not guilty to the same charge as Allan.

A fourth co-defendant, Billy Carter, 29, of Ingham Grange, South Shields, will appear at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on March 26 to answer a charge of handling the same stolen goods as Campbell, also between November 8 and November 29.

All matters were sent to Newcastle Crown Court on April 3.
