Three hurt in fight outside Jarrow pub

A TEENAGER has been arrested after three people were taken to hospital after a fight outside a South Tyneside pub.

The brawl happened broke out at the Queens Arms in Union Street, Jarrow at about 10pm on New Year’s Day.

Three people, a woman and two men were taken to South Tyneside Hospital.

One of the men suffered a suspected broken ankle and the other two injuries to their face. They all received medical treatment.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and a 34-year-old man on suspicion of affray. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are to anyone who was in the pub at the time and who may have witnessed the fight to contact them.
