A MAN has been stabbed in the shoulder in an attack on a South Tyneside street.
At just after 5.30pm yesterday, police received a report from the ambulance service of a man suffering from a stab wound on Ruskin Crescent, South Shields.
The man was found outside suffering from a puncture wound to his right shoulder from an attack which is believed to have happened inside an address on the street.
He was taken to the Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary for treatment, where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police have arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of wounding with intent. She is currently helping police with inquiries. It’s believed those involved are known to each other.
