Woman attacked outside bar: three arrests

WITNESS APPEAL ... a woman had her nose broken in an assault outside Sleepers.

THREE people have been arrested after a disturbance at a South Tyneside pub.

It happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday at Sleepers Wine Bar in Station Road, East Boldon, when police received a report of a disturbance inside the bar and then an assault outside.

A 30-year-old woman was punched and kicked outside the bar, suffering a head injury and broken nose. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

A man aged 44 and a man and woman aged 40, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bolidy harm, and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the disturbance in the bar or the assault outside to call them on 101 ext 69191, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
