The pupils walked, jogged or ran three kilometres around the perimeter of the school field, then had the opportunity to try the mobile climbing wall, provided by Simonside Outdoor Education Centre.

The fundraising has so far raised £1,270, with more money expected from an end of year non-uniform day.

Headteacher Jill Gillies said: “This has been an amazing event. It has been lovely to see both staff and students so fully involved in raising money for Cancer Research UK.”
