The Mariners cruised through their semi-final second leg by demolishing Coleshill Town 4-0 to seal a 6-1 aggregate win.

Graham Fenton and Lee Picton’s side will now face Cleethorpe’s Town in the final on Sunday, May 21.

Jubilant fans gave their reaction to the victory at full-time.

Chris Allen, 51, from South Shields, said: “It was a slow start but once they got going they did really well.

“We were all down at Coleshill and that was a bad game. Today was much better.””

Nick Rees, 38, from Low Simonside, said: “It was absolutely fantastic. We’ve got to get our tickets for Wembley now. I’m absolutely buzzing.”

David Saveraux, 37, said: “They were fantastic. I come to every game with my son. We’ve already booked Wembley. We are going to have a weekend in London.

Karlie Davies, 41, from Low Simonside, said: “It was brilliant. Wembley - here we come!

“I’ve followed the team since I was about six.

“I love football. I’ve played football and I’ve coached football. a lot of lasses just come for a laugh and a drink - I come to watch the game.”
