A GYM owner is flexing his muscles after his booming business moved into bigger premises.
Despite the economic climate, which is causing many to struggle, personal trainer Grant Henson says he is going from strength to strength.
The 31-year-old, who runs Grant Henson Personal Training, has now set up camp in Tedco Business Park, South Shields, after his previous premises in the town’s Fowler Street became too small to cope with demand.
Mr Henson, who has been a personal trainer for 14 years, said: “The business is really taking off and this is the fourth time I’ve had to move.
“As well as bigger premises, I’ve also been able to take on a member of staff and I am now looking to take on another person.
“Even though there is a recession, more and more people are becoming more health-aware.
“There are so many new things coming out all the time, and it’s all about staying one step ahead.”
“I am really pleased with the way things are going, and new people are contacting me all the time.
“To have been able to offer a job to someone was fantastic, and hopefully there will be some more in the future.”
The gym is a private members’ club for both men and women, with everyone given their own personal training programme.
It has been kitted out with Atlantis strength-training equipment from America.
