Police appealm over Testo's crash.

POLICE today appealed for help to find a driver who caused another car to leave a South Tyneside road and smash into a tree.

The accident happened at about 6.30am yesterday, when a silver Renault Clio and black Range Rover were travelling on the A184 near Testo’s roundabout at West Boldon.

The Range Rover is believed to have undertaken the Clio before braking sharply.

This caused the Clio to swerve, leave the road and collide with a tree. The driver wasn’t injured.

Police are keen to trace a passing motorist who stopped and spoke to the Clio driver, as they may be able to assist with inquiries.

They are appealing for this man, who was travelling in a car with two women and a number of dogs, to contact them.

The potential witness’s car also had a trailer attached.

That driver, or anyone who saw the collision, is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
