Driver breaks wrist as car overturns

A MAN was taken to hospital with a suspected broken wrist after his car overturned.

The driver of a Honda Civic collided with a side reservation north of Testo’s roundabout on the A19, Boldon Colliery, at 3.19pm today.

Two crews from Hebburn Fire Station and one from South Shields attended the scene.

The man was cut free from his car, which had overturned onto its roof.

He was then taken to South Tyneside District Hospital for treatment to a suspected broken wrist.
