CHILDREN had a cracking good time with the Easter Bunny at Viking Shopping Centre in Jarrow.
Dozens of youngsters hopped to it when they took part in an Easter egg hunt in the centre, with various prizes on offer.
Four shops in the centre were asked to display an Easter egg poster in their windows.
Youngsters were then invited to locate all four eggs within the shops, with the help of the Easter Bunny.
Lee Kimber, manager of Viking Shopping Centre, said: “Our young visitors have demonstrated that they like going on treasure hunts around the centre.
“And at this time of the year, an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny seemed most appropriate.”
All the children who took part in the hunt had to write down on leaflets the names of the shops where they had spotted the Easter egg posters.
Once they found all four shops, they then exchanged their completed entry forms for an Easter gift at the Wilkinson store.
Children also had their names entered into a free draw to win a luxury bunny puppet.
There was also a chance to be photographed with the Easter Bunny.
These pictures will later be featured on the centre’s Facebook page. The five photographs receiving the most combined ‘likes’ and comments will also receive a toy.
Finally, one Facebook winner will receive a hamper of toys as part of the Easter special.
