Everything's rosy in our garden
AN award-winning garden is being made ready for its annual public opening.
Residents of Hamilton Terrace in West Boldon will be showing off their prized garden to raise money for St Benedict's Hospice in Sunderland.
The once-derelict site has been featured on BBC2's Gardeners' World, as well as winning a string of Northumbria in Bloom awards.
Sue Jackson, the gardener behind the revamp project, said: "We're in our 10th year now and still going strong.
"We always get a good turnout on the day, and we're hoping that this year will be exactly the same."
The open day on Sunday, July 12, will include raffles, refreshments and a plants stall. Entry is 2.50.
