TALK-IN ...legendary Newcastle United goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek will be appearing at The Clock.

A FORMER Newcastle United goalkeeper is coming to South Tyneside.

Pavel Srnicek, pictured, is set to be the star of The Clock’s Christmas Talk-in.

The Czechoslovakian, part of the Toon Army from 1990 to 2007, will be at the Victoria Road East pub in Hebburn on Monday, December 17.

The footballer, who also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth, will be joined by fellow ex-NUFC player Joe Allen, who will act as compere.

The event starts at 7pm and tickets, costing £10, are available from behind the bar.

The Clock’s owner Norman Scott said: “We’re all really looking forward to this. Pavel was a firm favourite with Newcastle fans and everyone believed he was a Geordie at heart.

“I’m going to have some black and white Santa hats made with Pavel the Geordie printed on them and give them out to everyone, so when he comes in he’ll see everyone in their hats.”
