Haram keeps Whiteleas independent
INDEPENDENT Coun Terry Haram successfully defended Whiteleas in the face of a strong challenge from Labour.
He polled 1,006 votes, 70 more than trade unionist and South Shields Citizens' Advice Bureau chairman Doreen Purvis.
