This autumn will see the 80th anniversary of The Jarrow Crusade.

Monkfish Productions is creating a listening booth to mark the event and wants to hear from descendants of the Crusaders, or from people who may have a family story about the famous march.

The booth is a travelling portal, where audio stories are collected and could end up in an exciting exhibition in the autumn.

The booth will be at Jarrow Library, in Cambrian Street, on Friday from 10.30am to 4.30pm and on Saturday from noon to 4pm.

People can also bring along any objects or photos which are relevant to their stories.

The work is a partnership project between Monkfish, Newcastle University, South Tyneside Libraries and Information Service and South Tyneside Council.
