THE X Factor dream continued for South Shields singer Joe McElderry as he took lead vocal in the finalists' charity single and sailed through another week.
Last night was the first time the final 12 had performed their charity single, You Are Not Alone, for London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.
And the 18-year-old Westoe lad took centre stage with the opening and closing lines of the Michael Jackson hit, which is out now.
Mum Eileen Joyce said: "It's fabulous. Michael Jackson is my favourite artist of all time, and Joe has the lead vocals on his track.
"Everyone has been texting me saying prepare yourself because it's going to be No 1! It's fantastic, Joe is just glowing."
After the show, mentor Cheryl Cole told ITV2's The Xtra Factor that Joe was the best act of the night.
She added: "He isn't one of those massive personalities, he just gets on with it, there's no fuss with him. But he always delivers vocally."
Joe performed Somebody To Love in the Queen-themed week to mixed reviews from the judges.
Joe is now down to the last six after Jamie Archer was booted off the show.
