A JUDGE has branded the actions of a Jarrow man caught filming up women’s skirts as “frightening”.
Scott Dixon was hit with a two-year supervision order including eight hours of unpaid work when he appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court last week.
The 24-year-old of Dene Terrace, Jarrow, filmed up the skirts of women in Eldon Square, Newcastle, using his mobile phone.
He was caught after a shopper raised the alarm.
Police found 25 films on his phone. A further 15 films were found on his laptop during a search of his home.
Dixon, an architecture student, pleaded guilty to six counts of outraging public decency.
District judge Sam Goozee said: “This behaviour is a series of offending which is predatory, alarming and frightening for victims when they discover that someone was doing what you were doing.”
