Rescue of bridge teen
HEBBURN firefighters rescued a teenager threatening to jump 150ft from a Metro bridge early today.
The young woman, aged about 18, climbed on to a viaduct near Wallsend Metro station just after midnight.
After police spoke to the teenager, Hebburn firefighters used a rescue strap and ropes to bring her to safety.
