Shopper had purse stolen in charity shop
A SHOPPER had her purse stolen as she browsed the shelves of a town centre charity shop.
The woman was in the British Heart Foundation in King Street, South Shields, when her purse was taken from her handbag, between noon and 1pm on Saturday.
Meanwhile, police are also hunting a thief after a town centre reveller had her bag stolen after leaving it on the dancefloor of a nightclub.
The theft happened at about 1.30am on Friday at Roxanne's in Ocean Road, South Shields.
