Sir Bobby shirts raise £31,000

FOOTBALL fans helped raise more than £31,000 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation by snapping up one-off Newecastle United shirts.

The shirts were worn by the Magpies for the 4-0 win against Ipswich Town – where Sir Bobby won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup – before being put for sale on Internet auction site eBay.

In total, 31,187 was raised for the late Sir Bobby's charity, which helps fight cancer.
