Squash club is calling for more girl power

It's set to be girl power all the way tomorrow at a South Tyneside squash club.

Boldon Squash Club will be opening its doors to women and girls only as part of a national drive to encourage more women to take up the sport.

The event is a joint venture between England Squash and Sport England to promote women and girls’ squash/racketball.

The free drop in will be between noon and 4pm.

All equipment will be provided and coaches will be on hand to encourage those taking part.

The drop-in will be followed by weekly sessions starting on Tuesday.

For seven weeks, the sessions dedicated to women and girls will learn the skills of the sport.

The hour-long sessions will start at 7pm and cost £3.

Equipment will be provided.

Boldon Squash Club is based in Sunderland Road, East Boldon.
