RUSH hour traffic has been brought to a standstill after a collision on a busy South Tyneside roundabout.
It is understand a people carrier-type car collided with another vehicle on the junction of King George Road and John Reid Road at around 3.30pm today.
Police have sealed off the road while they deal with the ongoing incident.
Members of North East Ambulance Service’s hazardous area response team (HART) have attended the scene and it is understood there has been no reported injuries.
