A woman from South Tyneside accused of a stabbing attack will be tried by a jury later this year.
Rebecca Thompson, 31, of Fawcett Way, South Shields, yesterday pleaded not guilty to wounding James Atkinson with intent during an incident on May 15.
During the short hearing at Newcastle Crown Court, a trial was listed to take place in the week commencing November 25.
Mr Atkinson, 33, was found injured outside a house in Fawcett Way, off Mile End Road, South Shields.
He was taken to hospital with “life-threatening” injuries, after suffering puncture wounds to his stomach.
His condition later improved.
Thompson was granted conditional bail.
