I PROMISE I will be a loud, strong and local voice for South Shields.
South Shields needs an MP who understands the area and the challenges we face –someone who can get to work straight away. I
was born in South Shields and have continued to live in South Tyneside all my life. I haven’t just turned up here for this by-election.
This area has been hit hard by the reckless policies of this Tory-led government. Too many of our young people are out of work.
Too many families are struggling to make ends meet and too many of the most vulnerable are finding life even harder thanks to the Tories.
I would be a local, accessible and visible MP. I’d work hard to bring new jobs to the town and tackle youth unemployment.
In Parliament, I’d campaign for reform of the energy market to bring down the cost of your energy bills and I’d continue the fight against the bedroom tax.
I want to be a champion for Shields and I’d work to make the regeneration of the town a success. If you elect me as your MP, I promise I’d always put South Shields first.
