Warren Byrne made global headlines after his goal for South Shields FC on Saturday '“ but his incredible strike was no fluke.
Byrne’s goal at Tow Law Town – which saw him flick the ball up, hook it over his head and then volley into the far corner – has been viewed about 2million times across various platforms.
The 33-year-old has been scoring goals for fun for years in the Northern League, and this has been one of his better seasons, with 29 goals so far for the promoted Mariners.
