Twelve-hour closures will be in place as work is carried out to an estate's roads.
As part of the ongoing highways improvement scheme at the Lindisfarne and John Reid Road roundabouts, there will be a number of one-day closures on the Scotch Estate in Jarrow.
Each will be in place between 8am and 8pm and there will be diversion routes to allow access to all areas.
The closures will be in place on Saturday on Perth Avenue, between the junctions of Hobart Avenue and Queensland Avenue and Sterling Avenue and Oban Street.
It will be followed by another on Sunday from Perth Avenue, between the junctions of Queensland Avenue and Tasmania Road
The final one is scheduled for Sunday, April 23, from Edinburgh Road between the junction of Moffatt Avenue and Ladbrokes.
South Tyneside Council has said buses will still be able to access the estate; however the routes and stops in use will be limited.
