FINDING a piano man is a key challenge to a group of disabled adults who are planning a tour of residential homes in South Tyneside.
Members of the Ocean Arts Roadshow are keen to spread musical joy at gigs across the borough.
But they need a volunteer piano or keyboard player to accompany them, and help them to develop and perform their travelling show.
The group of adults with learning disabilities meets every Thursday in Trinity House Social Centre in Laygate, South Shields, to practice their catalogue of tunes, and they are longing for some musical support to help them on their way.
Formerly known as The West Walpole Street Roadshow, the group used to take their uplifting show on tour around residential homes and day centres. Sarah Wales, secretary of Ocean Arts, said “The group has really made great progress since joining us last year.
“With the help of a keyboard player, the group can work towards producing another fantastic show which can entertain some of the more isolated members of our community.”
Any piano or keyboard player who has some time to spare to volunteer with this group on Thursdays should contact Ocean Arts on 07577110600 or firstname.lastname@example.org
