There is still time for teams to enter the Mayor of South Tyneside’s charity golf competition.

Teams are needed to play in the tournament, which will take place on Thursday, April 27, at South Shields Golf Club.

The proceeds will go to the Mayor’s charity, which this year is raising funds for Diabetes UK South Tyneside, Young Carers in South Tyneside and Citizens Advice Bureau South Tyneside.

The Mayor said: “I do hope businesses, organisations and individuals will get involved in this event. As well as enjoying a great day out, people will also be raising funds for some very worthy causes in the Borough.”

Organisers are also appealing to businesses to sponsor a hole for £50 or to anyone who wants to donate a prize for the raffle.

The cost of a team is £100 (maximum of four people), which includes a meal.
