Teenage ‘legal highs’ victim released from hospital

A TEENAGER who needed medical attention after taking a so-called ‘legal high’ has been released from hospital.

The 15-year-old boy had taken ill after taking what police say was a drug called ‘Clockwork Orange’.

Police were called to The Burn area off New Road in Boldon Colliery on Wednesday.

The boy was taken to South Tyneside District Hospital in a ‘stable’condition and has since been released.

A 16-year-old received medical help and was taken home to be looked after.
