Thousands of people headed to the cliffs at Whitburn today to be part of an unique musical experience.

More the 75 brass band players joined forces with ships at sea to create the Foghorn Requiem.

The musical extravaganza, devised by artists Lise Autogena and Joshua Portway and music compsed by Orlando Gough, was aimed at marking the disappearance of the sound of the foghorn from the UK’s coastal landscape.
