A WOMAN is appealing for witnesses after her daughter was hit by a car.

The 26-year-old woman was walking along Glasgow Road in Jarrow, just before 9am on February 13, when a car is alleged to have mounted the pavement.

The black Jaguar struck the woman and she was treated at South Tyneside District Hospital after suffering from bruising.

Her mother said: “There was a woman in the area who saw the incident, and we are hoping she will get in touch.”
