THREE people were injured in a crash which brought a busy South Tyneside roundabout to a standstill this afternoon.
Police received report of the collision, on John Reid Road, South Shields, at around 3.35pm today.
Officers attended the scene where a bus and a car had collided.
It is believed three people have suffered minor injuries.
King George Road roundabout, at the junction with John Reid Road, is closed to northbound traffic.
There is some heavy congestion in the area and officers are helping managing traffic and providing updates to motorists.
