INSPECTORS from the Health and Safety Executive were today investigating after a man was injured in a fall at a house being renovated in South Tyneside.
The man was airlifted to hospital, earlier today, in what was described as a “serious condition.”
He had been working on a house in St Cuthbert’s Avenue in Horsley Hill, South Shields, when the accident happened at lunchtime.
He was flown by air ambulance to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The area around the property was cordoned off by police while inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive carried out their investigations.
