THERE’S still time for someone with a big heart to give South Tyneside’s biggest cat a new home.

Wensleydale the dancing cat has caused quite a storm since being featured in the Gazette this week.

The tabby and white cat is thought to be about six years old, and has been at the Moor Lane East base of the Willows Cat Adoption Centre, in South Shields, since December, when his owner died.

Shelter owner Maria Harrison, said: “He is very attention seeking, and dances on his back legs.”

Anyone who may be able to give a home to Wensleydale should call the Willows – which has another base in Wantage Street, South Shields – on 536 6221 or 456 8511.
