FAMILY and friends have rallied round Lisa Holmes and Steven Booth ahead of their big day.
Already a number of businesses have agreed to pitch in to make the day special.
Village Bridal in Harton Village, South Shields, is donating a wedding dress for Miss Holmes to wear.
While Greenwoods in South Shields, is supplying the men’s suits at a discounted rate,
Glen’s Diamonds, a charity set up in memory of South Shields’ father Glen Cunningham, who died last May aged 29, has donated £500.
However, there are still a few items required to make the day perfect.
Four purple bridesmaid’s dresses need to be hired for Lisa’s three sisters and niece to wear.
While 100 chair covers, preferably with a purple sash, are wanted.
Plus the couple are desperate to source two wedding rings.
Loved ones are hoping to raise £1,000 to cover the cost of the venue hire and other charges incurred.
Paula Holmes, 26, Lisa’s youngest sister, said: “We’ve managed to do quite a lot in such a little amount of time – we’re almost there.
“We want to make the day as special as possible for Lisa and Steven, but we still need a few more things.
“We are so thankful to everyone who has helped us so far, but if anyone can help us out at this last hurdle, we will be extremely grateful.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call the Gazette on 427 4861.
